In the wetsuits before we went into the cage. Im sure you can tell how excited I am by the smile on my face!

Unfortunately the sharks werent hungry so we didnt actually feed them! but it was amazing to be in the water with them. There was a massive bull shark inches away from us!

Salsa Class

We were wacthing a show on our main town square and saw some people doing salsa. they looked amazing so we ended up taking classes with them!

the class was absolute jokes!

the teacher didnt speak english, so we had 2 practise our spanish!

Cancun hotel

we decided to treat ourselves to a decent hotel as we were getting a bit tired of the youth hostels! we thought we deserved it after a whole 2 n a half weeks of travellin!!

Chichen Itza

Jammin

A picture of couple of the boys when we all went out to chillis for dinner. What a nice munch! The people we have met so far are amazing. In this pic is Ali and Luc, im sure u can guess who is who! lol

These boys are complete jokers, the banter with Luc keeps me from missing home! He is just hilarious!

We were living with Ali in the old place and had unbelievable jokes. we are so lucky to meet wicked people already!

Just jammin in the first club we went to. Its called Envy. Entry is £8, and that includes open bar.

If you get a table and tip the waiter they will even bring u the drinks so u dont have to go to the bar. a decent tip is £2 per person! lol

Travelling like true mexicans!

Jammin in the new youth hostel

We have moved into a new youth hostel, we are now living on the main town square!

we are paying £4.50 each a night, and breakfast and all the mineral water we can drink is included! This is my bed, apologies for the state of the hair, and as you can see I still havent cut it!

This is around the main town square. People dont seem to like eating inside here! The food is bare nice and pretty cheap and almost all restaurants

have live music playing. Some also have people doing salsa!

There are so many things to see around the town, merida is a really nice city. It is so chilled out! and cant go wrong with 35 degrees every day!

The people love having parties in the square, and the other day there was a spanish performance of the addams family! me and abz were lucky enough to meet one of the cast!

Uxmal

Uxmal is an ancient mayan city dating back to around 565 bc! these are some of the people we have been chilling with, from left to right - me, hannah, abz, annie, sarah and ali. this is the view from the top of one of the pyrimads in uxmal. Im quite proud of this picture as i took set up the camera on a wall and took the picture using the timer!

In the background is one of the pyramids in Uxmal. This was an amazing day out!

Orphanage

This is a picture of me, Abz, one of the local volunteers Carlos and our boys in the orphanage. We have only spent 2 days in the orphange so far. Today we began teaching them some english. we also played pass the parcel (papa caliente in spanish, i think!), football and just ran around with them. They are really great kids.

First few days in merida, mexico!

Hello all! As you can probably see we are loving merida! It is so hot, but luckily we have already met some really nice people and have been going out quite a bit! This is a picture of us just jamming in the house of the lady who is co-ordinating the volunteering for us.
