Horse riding and village in the mountains

The final day trip we did in san cristobal was a 1 and a half hour horse ride through the mountains to a marketing village. we spent an hour in the market/village and then had an hour and a half horse ride back. Riding through the mountains was amazing. Some of the best views and the terrain we were going over was amazing. I have to say though, the horse ride was kinda painful!

A sort of birds eye view of the market. There was all sorts on sale there. The best stall was a man selling books, pens, tv aerial, wires, sponges and a few other things. mexicans seem to love selling anything they get their hands on!

If you can see there are 2 girls holding live chickens by their legs. At one point they were giving me and abz such weird looks, as if we were retards for not having live chickens in our hands!!!

My horse!

Abzs horse. and he had to get the horse that ate the most!

Caves, Chiflon waterfall and Montebello Lakes

Another day trip that we went on in san cristobal.

This is one of the caves we walked through.

This is one of the smaller waterfalls which comes from the main chiflon waterfall.

Chiflon!

Enjoying the spray from the waterfall. The walk up to the viewing point was quite long, and it was boiling hot!

Just 1 of the 59 lakes in montebello!

Is there a better place than this to enjoy a nice quesadilla?

The day it rained in san cristobal!

No matter the weather, we were going to have our ice cream! Although it wasnt raining when we bought them, but started pissing it down soon after! Damn good ice cream though. Made from fresh watermelon and has fresh fruit pieces in it. and for 60p you cant go wrong!

Canyon de sumidero, San cristobal

One of the day trips we went on in San Cristobal.

The christmas tree waterfall which is in the canyon. From this angle it is not too clear, but its a pretty nice waterfall!

Tulum

Mexico is famous for its mayan history. The mayans built many pyramids, and the ruins of these are now tourist hotspots. Chichen Itza and Uxmal from before are remains of mayan cities. Tulum is another one.

This city was built right near the ocean.

Reggae on the beach!

In playa del carmen, still in mexico. Reggae concert on the beach! Amazing experience!

Lead singer of the first band. Just a preview of what i hope my dreads are going to look like. Sorry mum

Xcaret

Xcaret is an eco park in mexico. It has many animals, under ground caves to swim in and an unbelievable buffet!

Jammin!

Abz always wanted to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle, this is the closest he is ever going to get!

In Xcaret they have an area dedicated to the lives of some people. Their tombstones are decorated with many of the deceased persons favourite things such as beer.
